About Me
Hello and welcome to my blog! This is really a home to me and there is no harm in it being yours too. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I don't want to bore you so I'll make it short and straight to the point.
I'm your typical teenage boy with a passion for writing and an ambition to bring the world together through short stories. I have always enjoyed listening to stories and only recently found the joy in telling them.
This blog is but a place for me to portray stories of interest to me; whether it be the daily activities I undergo or the stories of meaning that I have been told, I only wish that they are heard by the ears of those willing to listen.
I was born in Kenya and have since grown my pride in my nationality and cultural background. I find myself intrigued by the diverse cultures; not only those of my country but also those of the several nations of the world. I truly believe that behind every culture and tradition, there is a story to tell. This is what drives me. This what gives me the ability to tell even more stories. If there is, indeed, a story worth telling, without doubt, tell it.
But this isn't really about me; it's about us. If you are willing then I wish to ask: are you ready to join me on My Voyage Through Life or rather Our Voyage Through Life?
I almost forgot . . . my name is Brian Mburu Maina (You can call me Brian) and I am glad we are taking this journey together.
ABOUT THIS BLOG
If you're wondering what this blog is all about, I guess that you're in the right place.
When
I started this blog, I was never really sure what I would write about.
But after thinking it through, I came to realise that in the world we
are in today, we face distinct challenges in our daily lives and get to
see life from different points of view. With this in mind, I thought of
finding a way of telling these stories so that they may be seen by the
world in order for us to understand the diversity of the different
individuals that make up the human population.
One
intention of this blog is to explore the different perspectives that we
all have as we view the current matters in the society that need to be
spoken about and heard of. Anything that has caused any form of
agitation anywhere in the world deserves to be seen and brought to the
attention of the people or even the world at large.
Yet
another intention of this blog was to bring people together through our
shared traits and qualities in order to help build a better tomorrow
for ourselves and the generations to come and more so create better ties
within the growing capacity of civilization. Although it may seem like a
rather vague idea, nothing is impossible to achieve so long as there is
a solid foundation for our objectives (This being a unified society).
My
main objective in regards to all others was to spread joy and happiness
and a sense of belonging because My Voyage Through Life is, in fact, a
home more than it is anything else. It is a place where all people are
entitled to their own opinions and ideologies in a way that brings
harmony and understanding before all else. My main aim is to someday
live in a quieter world and this, to me, is my way of contributing to the
community.
Without a doubt, My Voyage through Life is not defined by any sort of stereotypes or clichés
and is meant to be a place defined by the people who choose to be a
part of it. In this regard, it is more of a people than it really is
anything else. I use this blog to help grow myself and also wish to help
others find themselves in the midst of an ever-changing world. This is
why I chose to call this blog My Voyage Through Life. It is a journey of
self-discovery. Knowing ourselves is not a destination but in fact a
journey. This should not limit us but instead, encourage us to make this
occasionally tedious journey into a more enjoyable experience or maybe
even a 'voyage'. And thus, My Voyage Through Life was born.
My Voyage Through Life -- Perspective, Togetherness, Truth.
